Cool coupling

Werther/Klingenberg/Hanover (Germany), April 28, 2017

R+W impressed at the Hanover Fair with its R+W App and Virtual Reality.

Cool coupling

R+W Antriebselemente presented its extended coupling portfolio at the Hanover Fair (Hall 25, Stand C30). For the first time, a variant with integrated cooling lubrication feedthrough was also shown. This offers valuable advantages to manufacturers of machine tools with a long spindle set-up.

When everything revolves around the industry at the world's largest investment goods fair, couplings can’t be missing. R+W presented its high-precision components not only in real: An app enables to view every detail of the drive elements in Augmented and Virtual Reality – and this digital showroom remains open at all times.

In Hanover, R+W presented a new disc pack coupling with integrated cooling lubrication feedthroughs.

The Poppe + Potthoff subsidiary recently supplemented its portfolio by flexible tooth couplings (series BZ) for high torques and new ranges of industrial safety couplings (series ST). In addition, disc pack couplings (LP series) are now available with integrated cooling lubrication feedthroughs.

This allows customers to direct the cooling lubricant directly into the tool even over long distances. Symmetrical cone clamping hubs as well as special balances guarantee a very high level of stability and good balancing quality, as reported by the HMI’s fair newspaper.
